MGDA-Na3 is the abbreviation of trisodium methylglycine diacetate, also known as trisodium dicarboxymethylalanine. It is a small molecule chelating agent with a structure similar to NTA, but it is non-toxic and easily biodegradable. MGDA-Na3 is a new type of non-phosphorus green degradable chelating agent, used to replace traditional phosphonates, EDTA, NTA. It is suitable for cleaning agents, detergents, electroplating electronics industry, oil field chemical additives, pulping and papermaking additives, textile additives, daily chemicals, toiletries, etc.

MGDA-3Na is biodegradable and can improve the cleaning effect of household and industrial detergents and cleaning agents.

1. Fabric detergent

In heavy-duty laundry detergents, liquid laundry detergents and soap-based detergents, MGDA is particularly effective for stubborn stains such as natural oils, sebum, blood stains, milk stains, ink stains, dust and protein. Detergent that formula contains fatty acids and soap, can easily form soap scales with calcium and magnesium ions in the water during use, which will deposit on the surface of the fabric, causing sour odor and reducing wettability. MGDA can effectively solve the stains formed by calcium soap and prevent the redeposition of calcium soap.

2. Phosphorus-free dishwasher detergent

After various countries have implemented bans and restrictions on phosphorus, various phosphorus-replacement additives have appeared. The use of phosphorus-free formulations of automatic dishwashing detergents will cause the filming of detergent and stain removal performance will be decreased, and the use of MGDA will improve this


For stubborn stains, such as starch and protein in food, MGDA has been proven to

have efficient rinsing and starch stain removal performance in commercial phosphorus-free dishwashing detergent formulations, especially for tea stains.

3. Cleaning of inorganic deposits

MGDA can convert poorly soluble compounds into water-soluble substances, and has good solubility for inorganic precipitates, has better effect for old and dry calcium stains. Cleaning calcium carbonate scale: Use acid (such as hydrochloric acid, citric acid, etc.) to generate carbon dioxide to remove calcium ions, which is not suitable for closed systems and corrosive systems. The use of chelating agents such as MGDA to form soluble complexes to complete this performance without related problems and can prevent formation of new calcium carbonate stains. Cleaning calcium phosphate scale: For example, during milk processing, insoluble calcium phosphate precipitates are formed, which is not easy to clean. The complexing ability of MGDA on it exceeds other degradable complexing agents.

Packing and Storage

Storage    Sealed and stored in a dry and ventilated warehouse, avoid mixed storage with acidic and odorous items, prevent exposure to the sun and rain.
