DESCRIPTION &APPLICATION	White or yellowish acicular crystals. Melting point 338ºC (230ºC). Soluble in hot water, ammonia and other alkali solutions, insoluble in alcohol and ether. This product may come in several heterogeneous forms.4, 6-dihydroxy pyrimidine (DHP), whose tautometer is called 1-H-pyrimidine-4, 6-dione. 4, 6-dihydroxy pymidine is usually used as fine chemical raw materials or organic synthesis intermediates. It is widely used in the preparation of , pesticide and Chemicalbook bactericide. For example, it can be used in the industry to produce sulfonamides motoxine, vitamin B4, antitumors and auxiliarys.
