Application
OIT is used as a broad spectrum biocide against bacteria and fungi. OIT is used in cooling tower and air washer water systems, as a materials preservative 

and on wood to prevent mold and sapstain. OIT is used as a preservative in various household products including paints, carpets and carpet backings, vinyl floors, 

mattress covers, rubber/polymer products (including slippers, gloves), foams (e.g., foam used in pillows and mattresses, shoe soles), adhesives, caulks, feather 

and down fill, textiles (e.g., upholstery, clothing and linens), and leather preservation.
